Summerfaire Animal Awareness at Unitarian Universalist Society of Rockport - Snakes and Vernal Pond Exhibit  7-15-2017

It was a beautiful summer day in downtown Rockport at the Unitarian Universalist Church for their Summerfaire. They were doing a big fundraiser and had exhibits featuring Animal Awareness. We didn't realize how peacefully our snakes got along with puppies and dogs. Maybe it had something to do with the serenity of a place of worship. Nice time.

We spent the morning there with a bunch of vernal pond critters including frogs, salamanders, turtles and snakes. We also had a fish bowl potpourri with lots of baby vernal pond animals from a dip net. Thanks to our volunteers Keith Bertone, Ann Byers, Cora Hawks, Victoria Rolf and Colleen Anderson.

This Mom was not very excited to have her daughter holding snakes... but after a while she touched one and after about an hour she was holding Skeletor,
albeit through her sweater. What a lovely thing to do for your daughter!
