Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team works with numerous organizations.
Listed here are some of...

Our partners

National Heritage and Endangered Species Program
This vernal pool page is a great place to learn about vernal ponds. The subsequent certification page is used to certify ponds and as an educational tool for members.

Vernal Pool Association
Their mission is education about vernal pool ecology, the environment, bio-diversity and protection of our resources. They have provided us education about vernal pool ecology and supported us through workshops on how to study and certify vernal pools.

New England Herpetology Society
We have had an affiliation with NEHS for years and have worked with them on several occasions. They are a huge resource for
us.

New England Wildlife Center
NEWC has worked with our board and lent their expertise in growing our organization as well as providing vet care for our animals.

The Trustees of Reservations
Over the years, we have certified vernal ponds on their properties and held collaborative educational programs and presentations.

Essex County Greenbelt
We hold an annual vernal pond field trip for their constituents and spend time outdoors on Greenbelt properties.

Parker River Wildlife Refuge
We have held several vernal pond certification workshops for this National Wildlife Refuge.

Massachusetts State Parks
Under the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, we do a number of programs for Massachusetts State Parks each year.

Kestrel Educational Adventures
KEA grew out of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team and began their own non-profit. They are an educational organization connecting people of all ages with meaningful learning adventures. They are located in downtown Beverly.

Girls Scouts
We have held programs for the local Girl and Boy Scouts and now have a “Cape Ann Vernal Pond Scouts" Patch Program. This was designed for Scouts who complete a series of activities including; finding out what a vernal pond is, identifying wildlife found in ponds, and using GPS to map out a nearby pond.

Cape Ann Trail Stewards
Their primary focus is on helping municipal landowners and conservation organizations protect, maintain and expand Cape Ann's trail network. We have a unique association with Cape Ann Trail Stewards because they provide and preserve access to our wilderness areas. We do a number of programs with them each year.

Maritime Gloucester
We are fortunate that Maritime Gloucester supports our activities through the use of their bulk mailing permit. In addition, those folks down the street donate many volunteer hours each year supporting our programs and events and they really help keep us going.
