We will focus on capturing fish with dip nets and seine nets and move them to the Loop Pond. We will show these critters, along with any other turtles we catch, to anyone who shows up (the public) and give some basic information, and mark the turtles by the time honored technique of shell notching. The Town of Rockport has decided to dredge the Mill Pond in Millbrook Meadow. That said, there are fish and turtles in there that are going to need someplace to go. So... A few people from the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team, Kestrel Educational Adventures, Eric Hutchins, and a few others will be involved in moving turtles and fish to the Loop Pond, which is about a half mile upstream from the Mill Pond. We also hope to make an educational opportunity out of this and so the public is invited to those times when we expect to see something. Check out our activities calendar for more associated times. We have started a Conservation Work page for this activity on our website to document some of this work... Millbrook-Meadow-and-Mill-Pond-Restoration
